Apart from this mining application, the galvanised version of this product has proven popular in the plumbing industry as a temporary clamping solution, Sales Representative Matthew Campbell reveals. “As with all Band-It products, our experienced sales team offers training on all of our tools, and also provides full support in terms of all aspects of aftersales support.”
The clamps, with a width of 15.9 mm and 9.6mm, are also available in grade 201 stainless steel, and are supplied in boxes of 25, 50, or 100 clamps, depending on the diameter required. The clamps, which are locked from the impact of a hammer-driven conical punch, are not recommended for fittings that may crack as a result.
The clamps are ideal for hose fixing and attachment, cable bundling, sign erection, device attachment and mounting, cable and wire management, and maintenance in industries as diverse as mining, civil, agriculture, transportation, food and beverage, automation, telecoms, manufacturing, and processing.
“The combination of the double-wrapped design with stainless steel gives the customer a robust clamping solution,” Campbell highlights. In addition, the clamps are particularly easy to install, thanks to the user-friendly BAT300 ratchet-action tensioning tool. The SM1700 pneumatic centre-punch clamp tool has been developed specifically for high-volume installations.
